Brother Sun is one of four feature commissioned pieces for the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  The theme of each floor is based on a portion of St. Francis’s Canticle of the Creatures that addresses different aspects of the environment. Brother sun nestles in between richly textured gentle rolling hills of amber and green. Thick surface texture camouflages evidence of frolicking coyotes and chipmunks made with track replicas. Maple leaves fall gently between the canticles rendered in Lucida Handwriting Italic, and grasses are silhouetted against a shimmering sun.
