JFK Elementary, Spring Valley, IL 1999
Conducted two week residency on architecture to fourth grade groups. Created drawings, paintings, and permanent installation of architectural casts. Taught supplemental art classes after school for ages 1-6.
Elwood Elementary, Elwood, Il, 1999
Taught a one month residency in drawing and painting that culminated in a mural created by the junior high core group of students. Every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade class received drawing instruction.
Ramona School, Wilmette, IL 1999
Facilitated a one week residency with four fourth grade homerooms. Researched, drew, painted and collaged a 18’ permanent mural to be installed at the school.

Initiated education program, hired instructors, taught fine art camps, coordinated registration and advertising with local park district. Organized Kid’s Art Tent display with collaborative mural and quilt at local art fair.

Created mixed media mural of the rain forest with fifth graders from two schools. Conducted after school drawing class for grades 4-6, and provided district wide in-service instruction.

Conducted one month residency on architecture to third and fourth grade groups. Created drawings, paintings, and permanent installation of architectural casts.
Prophetstown Elementary, Prophetstown, IL 1996
Co-wrote grant for two month Visual Arts Residency through the IAC's Arts in Education Program. Created age appropriate drawing and painting activities to introduce basic elements and principles of art to approximately 400 students. Lectured to community groups ranging in size from 25-300, and provided in-service instruction.

Instructed art programs at 6 locations to gifted students in grades 1-6. Provided written parent communication, student evaluation, and supplemental materials. Acted as cooperating teacher for graduate education students, and guest lecturer for graduate class in gifted education.

Taught two sections of introductory two and three dimensional design. Wrote and developed a curriculum, and provided instruction in Aldus Freehand for eight weeks of the semester.

Acted as sole coordinator/instructor for two week art camp. Taught paper making, sculpture and casting techniques, textile printing and dying, assemblage, collage, as well as drawing, painting, and printmaking.

Planned curriculum, taught lessons, hosted parents night, organized and chaperoned field trips for art day camp.
