ground cherry (Physalis alkekengi), grasses, leaves, pastel, ink, plaster and acrylic on panel
Created in the meadow studio at Ragdale at the height of autumn, this piece was inspired and influenced by the surrounding fall foliage. Dictionary pages containing the words autumn, art, and abundance lie in the lower left hand corner, and leaf lined niches hold the flower/calyx of a Chinese lantern plant (Physalis alkekengi).
